Community-reported petrol, diesel, home heating oil, and green diesel prices across County Wicklow. From Bray and Greystones on the Dublin commuter belt to Wicklow town, Arklow, Blessington, and the Garden of Ireland interior.
County Wicklow is one of the most geographically varied counties in Leinster, combining one of the largest Dublin commuter belts in the country with a mountainous interior that gives it the name "the Garden of Ireland." The M11 and N11 form the county's main traffic artery, running the length of the east coast from Shankill on the Dublin border through Bray, Greystones, Wicklow town, and Arklow toward Wexford. This coastal corridor carries some of the highest non-motorway traffic volumes in Ireland.
Bray, immediately south of Dublin at the M11 terminus, has a large and competitive forecourt market that reflects its status as a major commuter town. The daily flow of commuters and leisure traffic on the N11 creates a high-turnover fuel market with several competing stations on the main road and its environs. Greystones, a few kilometres further south, has a smaller but similarly competitive local market. These two north Wicklow towns are where most of the county's fuel volume is purchased, partly because the interior has few stations due to its mountainous terrain.
The Wicklow Mountains form a significant barrier through the centre of the county. The Military Road (R115) from Rathfarnham to Aghavannagh crosses the highest ground and has no fuel stations at all on its mountain section. Glendalough and the Vale of Avoca attract heavy visitor traffic, but the access roads have limited station provision. Drivers heading into the mountains from Blessington in the west or Laragh and Rathdrum in the east should plan accordingly.
Arklow at the southern end of the N11 and Wicklow town on the N11/N750 junction both have local station clusters serving the south of the county and traffic heading further toward Wexford. Blessington in the west, on the N81 connecting Wicklow to Dublin via Tallaght, is a growing commuter town with its own fuel provision. Home heating oil and green diesel are important fuels for the more rural western areas of the county around the Blessington Lakes and the Wicklow foothills.

Bray and Greystones sit on the Dublin commuter belt and the M11/N11 corridor, and their forecourts face genuine price competition from both the Dublin suburbs and from each other. Commuters who fill up in Bray or Greystones rather than in Dublin city sometimes find a small but consistent difference in pricing. Open FuelWatch to compare current community-reported prices across north Wicklow stations and nearby Dublin suburbs.
The Wicklow Mountains form a large and largely uninhabited upland interior stretching from Blessington to Glendalough and the Avonmore valley. On mountain roads like the R115 (the Military Road) and the routes into Glendalough, there are very few fuel options. Drivers heading into the mountains for walking or leisure should fill up in Blessington, Laragh, or Rathdrum. FuelWatch community reports help identify which local town stations have the best prices before you head into the hills.
Yes. Arklow, on the N11 in south Wicklow near the Wexford border, has a local cluster of forecourts and serves drivers on the Dublin-to-Wexford and Dublin-to-Waterford corridors. Wicklow town itself, between Arklow and Bray, is also covered. The south of the county is less densely developed than the north but FuelWatch covers stations throughout.
