Fuelwatch.ie ("we", "our", "us") operates the Fuelwatch.ie website and mobile application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
Price reports: When you submit fuel prices, we store the price, station, and timestamp associated with your account.
Location data: If you grant permission, we use your device location to show nearby stations. We do not store or track your location history.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Fuelwatch.ie service
- To display your submitted fuel prices to other users
- To calculate badges, streaks, and leaderboard rankings
- To process your one-time payment via Stripe
- To send important service-related communications
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase: Our database and authentication provider
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Google: Authentication via Google OAuth
- Vercel: Website hosting and analytics
4. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Price reports are retained indefinitely as part of the community dataset. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us.
5. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous usage statistics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication (OAuth 2.0), and row-level security on our database.
8. Children
Fuelwatch.ie is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
